Of course! I'm 5th generation U. S. American, but my ancestry is almost 100% Irish Catholic.

I love Irish history and culture and have vacationed in the Irish Republic twice.

I went to Irish fairs and Celtic fairs every year since my 20s.

I am a guitarist and vocalist and was invited to play a set of about 6 Irish rebel and pub songs at a large, annual St. Patrick's Day ceilidh every year from about 2005 to 2020. Covid hysteria shut the whole thing down for a couple of years and I haven't been back.

My wife and I were good friends with a couple during that same period. The lady had Irish heritage and was totally into it. She had more St. Patrick's Day decorations than many people have Christmas decorations.
They would have a party at their house every year with a traditional St. Patrick's Day feast.

My wife is of German heritage but could pass for Irish with her red hair. She's a good sport and took Irish dance lessons for a couple of years. She's proud to be a honorary Irish lass. LOL

We do, my mom's side of the family is Irish. She says we still have relatives (distant cousins we've never met) in County Clare.
Cleveland and surrounding areas have HUGE celebrations for Patrick's Day. And, the parade in downtown ranks 5th largest in the US.

If someone has something going on I will go along and have a good time, but I'm not one to plan a whole situation around St. Patrick's Day or anything.
