Back I was a kid and my grandparents that grew up in Ireland and moved here just prior to getting married and my parents were all still alive my mother made sure I was dressed in green and we had a traditional Irish potato and sausage stew for supper. The older, of age folks would sip on Jamesons Irish whiskey and if I was a good boy I might get a wee bit of wine during the meal

Not really. I used to do Irish dancing so back in those days I would perform at different bars and events and march in the parade. But I haven’t done anything for the holiday since I quit dancing

I’m half Irish, so I observe the day by cooking a corned beef and cabbage dinner. On the occasion I’m not able to cook it that year, my husband takes me out to a local place offering the traditional meal.

No. I no longer celebrate it. St. Patrick wasn't even Irish and he helped massacre the many original Irish pagan inhabitants.
