Modern TV screens are very fragile.
Touching a TV screen can be very risky, depending on how much force you use. While lightly touching the screen may not do damage, it will leave unsightly fingerprints and grime behind. Applying too much force to the screen will put the many layers of the screen at risk of puncturing.
The panel is covered on the outside with a film to protect from shattering. Panels are very fragile, and can be easily physically damaged.
LCD/LED screens are a three ply lamination of two plastic sheets with an internal layer of glass where the pixels are. It's the glass layer that is very fragile and what actually breaks. The plastic layers are pretty tough. You can't replace the glass layer any more than you can change an inner layer of plywood.
I see no cracks on the base or screen
are there any pixels missing or white dots that are not filled with color when you turn the TV on? If not, then it is not damaged.
No i don't see any pixels when i turn it off and back on
A bump is a bump & a hump is a hump so don’t bump or hump your HDTV & you will be ok. If you slightly bump your HDTV please be careful & refer to the owners manual for more information. How do you like your new television & is it 1080p & what brand is it?
Yes it's 1080P Full HD and Samsung
Hey, you made the choice to go to thin bezels. As they say, you made your bed, now you lie in it.
Perhaps don’t pet your tv as much as you do.
@Static_In_The_Attic any advice?
