Text message. I have a high stress internationally job where I may have to take a meeting at 3 am some days. My schedule is always fucked. A text I can see and respond to at my convenience. That being said I always take a call from my Best friend that is allergic to texts, ny special needs cousin that is always the first person to call when we have bad weather (I moved 2000 miles away to a place that has hurricanes and tornados) and my other best friend that is now dead. God i hope he calls soon, I miss him

I find that phone calls and video calls can be a bit invasive. They have their place obviously with family members who live abroad, or in a professional context IF these calls have been agreed upon in advance. But I largely prefer a text message. I'm not always available right away, so I don't expect others to be readily available either.

Welcome!
It really depends on the situation and mood. I don't like video calls that much to be honest. I prefer text messages because people drain me sometimes so it's nice to be able to chat and not thinking about tone of voice and facial expressions. But if I've one of those days I can be on a phone call with a dear one for hours so it really depends.

13 dfor most things and most of the time... texting is more efficient nowadays and that's what I use the most with daily and "simple" communication
but... with, and for people that are not as fast with text, then I will do phone calls or even video calls
however, if we're talking about the dating matters and stuff like that... then I prefer to keep all of these to a very minimum, I still want to do it in person, as it should be... one-on-one, that I prefer... lol30 Replyİ hate them all to be honest.
i am a face to face communicator.
İf i have to choose one i would say text, yes i don't get their body language, tone of voice and they may not return to the text immediately but phone calls are weird, like you just stop awkwardly sometimes.
20 ReplyFor work related things phone calls work well
For catching up with friends texts are best because you can use them anytime without stopping what you’re doing
For the two of us… absolutely video call 😏21 Reply- 14 d
Lol!!! Video calls would be a very exciting experience with you Mr!! I will definitely keep that one in mind. 😉

It depends. Who am I communicating with and why?
Business - I want the conversation documented. Email.
Business - I need to do a lot of communicating and I need to hear voice inflections and tone. Phone call or video call.
Personal - A chat with my kids. Video Call.
Personal - Stuff with friends and no particular time constraint. Text
Personal - More than friends. Phone call. Or text for fun, funny stuff with no time constraint.

I generally prefer a text message, I have time to consider my response and reply when it’s convenient to me (if I’m unable to reply straight away). Some things do need an ‘in person’ conversation, which I would rather do face to face, I don’t really like talking on the phone to be honest! 😂

phone call or video calls. Text can be misread or give the wrong impression, you can take it one way while it was meant another due to personal interpretations of language without vocal expressions to guide the meanings. With actual interaction you can hear the intentions or in a video see facial expression to convey the turer intentions of the message.

Video. It's hands free and we can actually see each other.
Sometimes holding a phone to my head hurts my elbow.
Texting really frustrates me! More often than not, I go to tap one "key" and hit one or two others, instead and then it's nearly impossible to just go back to THAT mistake to fix it without deleting everything you wrote after it and re-writing it all!!10 Reply 4.7K opinions shared on Other topic. Well as a person I never mind texting. Hence texting is what I would prefer. The reason?
That is because for me it is much easier to express myself using texting as compared to speaking/calling etc.10 Reply- 14 d
Really just depends on where I'm at. If I'm at work, stick to texting unless it's an emergency. Rest of the time I don't particularly mind how people communicate. If I'm not busy I'll gladly answer
20 Reply Depends on who I'm talking to.
Some friends I prefer calling, others I prefer video calling. In general I'd go for texting.20 Reply- 14 d

Phone call, it's just easier sometimes than texting, especially when talking about personal stuff, you never have to wonder what the context is. Video call are ok, but sometime =s I dint want to be on camera, lol.
