What car brand immediately comes to mind when you think of poorly-built/poor quality cars, trucks, SUVs and vans?

TVR - fantastic cars, but notoriously bad build quality. The same applies to most other low-volume British sports cars that are built by hand in a shed somewhere, with switchgear etc borrowed from other brands' parts bins - though not Morgans, which have an exceptionally high build quality.

Anything American will have an extremely cheap, plasticky, low quality interior, but mechanically, they're usually fairly sound (mostly because they're simple, as a result of not being sold in Europe, and therefore not needing to be fuel efficient, clean, or able to go around corners). German brands like Audi are the opposite - lovely interiors and build quality, but mechanically, they're really poorly designed, unreliable junk.

@Jupiter1 With the now horrific competition among car brands, I think MOST are HIGH quality vehicles... they can't afford to be other wise.

China's Chery and Dongfeng are the first car brands I can immediately think of that make awefully-designed, poorly-built and short-lived automobiles.

Personally, nobody can get me to like the quality of vehicles from the Stellantis group (particularly Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, etc.) because of the materials (mostly plastics) and they put in their cars and how often they break down.

Oftentimes, experienced mechanics enumerate Land/Range Rover models, Jaguars, Saabs, Fiats, Peugeots, as "mechanics' nightmares" due to often-repeated returns to repair shops and for parts that aren't easy to find.
