I have a hard time relating to traditional, formal poetry. In the contemporary range though, I found some folks to connect to: the.blackhat is one writer I'm fond of.

Maybe I could rely on books again to find poetry, but it's tough because

As I roam,

I often think of writing a poem.

I don't know what to do as my thought went up high

This won't be any good.

I try to write poetry sometimes when the feeling hits, it comes out good and sometimes bad. It has always been a way to communicate without everyone knowing that exactly what I'm saying with it.

I like the three poetry books by Günter Grass, not sure if they ever were translated into English. In the English language I like Robert Frost („The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep…“).

Sassoon and Owen from the First World War. Sitting in "No Man's Land" between the two Front Line trenches at Vimy Ridge in France reading the words written by the soldiers who fought there as a teenager was a surreal experience.
