Do you like writing in any capacity?
+1 yI really enjoy it and I've been trying my hand at descriptive writing lately. What do you think of this passage?
"The fruity and vegetably parts of the hamburger sandwich lent a vibrant contrasting color against the earthly colors of the bready parts and the meaty parts. Yet the highlight to approximately 85% of people [*] would have been the meaty, predominantly globular, protein molecules. The fruity and vegetably parts still added a freshness and acidity to the molecular composition so ready to be consumed by a homosapien who was in the mood to consensually consume the molecules of the sandwich in its complete form and process it through their digestive tract.
[*] This estimate was derived intuitively and may be subject to change with additional data."

It's a fictional story. I made it up using my imagination and then wrote down the words to describe what I imagined as best as I could.

+1 yI used to like writing stories, and it would be nice to properly give it a go. As for poetry, I can't stand it. They made us learn it in school. The whole English exam was on bloody poetry. That and bloody Shakespeare.

Not really :/
Maybe unless it was signing my name in a liquid gel ink. 🖊️ Otherwise no.
I love the way that ink glides and I only
have enough will power in my hand to write my name… anything else and I just get too tired.
Also I grew up with gripping any writing instrument harshly, and having a strong ink or so. Like I flew through pencils like the Tasmanian devil. I broke them more often than that too.
I just couldn’t. Even typing and I get tired sometimes lol. So much info and not enough capacity or time to do it!

NOT REALLY? You mean having the NBA's worst record at 9-51 ISN'T playing like poo?
- +1 y
@handsomelad70 what?
- +1 y
The Detroit Pistons have the National Basketball Association's (NBA's) worst record at 9-52.
- +1 y
@handsomelad70 so you’re saying something like
Is a record of 9-52 playing like poo?
(The answer to that is an assumed yes).
So since yes, you’re saying instead of not really, I should be saying yes? I like writing or something?
Or is there some negative thing in there I’m missing? 🤔

+1 yOne strategy I use is to study a poetry format and than innovate a collection of words that match the format listed such as the sonnet, once you have your word cluster, you can develop a theme and expand on it. Another method is to read the works of other authors for ideas. Herman Hennessy has some good literature and you only need a few paragraphs to get ideas.

+1 yI sometimes write fan fiction about my favorite shows but I don't really show to anyone in fact I think the only person I've shown one of my stories to is my boyfriend
41 ReplyI don’t write as much as I used to. I used poetry as a way to cope with negative emotions and now that I’m not depressed all the time I don’t write poetry anymore lol. I do enjoy brainstorming story ideas however and writing those ideas down, turning it into an actual story is a different thing all together

I feel like for some poetry should really be encouraged among youth. Like poetry and puberty seems like it will just go hand in hand.
So many teens and young adults can’t always or get bad mouthed for talking back and they talk back because they don’t always know how to express as an adult what they feel and sometimes even if they do taking back is just frowned upon. I think poetry is a good outlet and some bands too.
Those garage band bros would say what they want bang away and get some ladies and hang out with friends. Enjoy the rhythms of calling tunes and I think it’s just super helpful as compared to them just abusing substances or “retaliating” or really retaliating with adults or peers. Even family. Or resorting to self harm as well.
Poetry, I seen, gave a lot of kids an opening for free speech and it’s sometimes like the best code or the best way to complain in a dignified way 😆 it’s like English posh or something.
Maybe that’s why Shakespeare loved it? Who knows.
Anyways, it’s like the equivalent of complaining to a person or telling them what you really think about them but ending it all under “ [ . . . ], respectfully.***”
😂
It’s like I don't know:
“Please remove the grotesque bull’s fecal matter from thy vocal line and entrance, and do allow me the opportunity to get a collection of phrases out from my side of this matter, so that I may bring upon a warm fuzzy cloak bought from the store of hideousness, to comfort your shoulders and give you a warm inspiration to continue on your way, without ever really interjecting on the cluster of beliefs, and ideologies, which I hold so well and dear- and TRUE! to my heart. My dearest pagan.” Lol - +1 y
I really think they should all be encouraged to use poetry. As they say the pen is mightier than the sword.
It gives them the support and leverage the means to cope without deliberately hurting anyone. Sticks and stones? But your words? lol 😂
They can find poetry clubs of likeminded people or friends and share their feelings in that way. Without being so vulnerable either but having a listening chance at times.
I think that and sports and music can really help young adults. Express in words what they think and feel, listen to how others express their life and story in song, and relate with the tunes or feel comforted in that, and burn off steam and challenge themselves to think out the box and grow in quick paced but fun activities. Getting that blood flow. I really wish poetry class and sports were like free non graded activities. Maybe a few minutes sessions or so, or just encouraged by adults, counselors, or older siblings for the upcoming people who need to de-stress, burn steam, cope, and understand themselves and their challenges in a higher plane/level.
I never really thought of any of this until now and you mentioning it. I know I’ve tried poetry too when I was younger and my sister and she used to cut herself a bit in high school and even used poetry to voice to her father how he had disappointed her and he knew it in the right way. I mean there wa sho better way to say it I feel. Now he was a believer of god so he handled it okay but maybe it’d be better to be more subliminal to other fathers or people who won’t receive the complaint so well 🤷♀️ - +1 y
Anyways she does poetry once or twice but it definitely became less and less and now she’s graduating and finished her studies , didn’t end her life prematurely, has gotten a new sense of self and independence. I thinks it really did help for her, it sounds like for you too, and certainly for myself and I truly do think it has been this way for others too. I really hope this gets talked about more. In a good light. :]

I like historic and political commentary. I do some of that here in My Takes
I am a fair story teller.
If there was any really decent erotic writing out there, I would read some of it. Literotica has lots of writing but I haven't seen any that was arousing just by reading it. I've tried to write some but no rave reviews. My taste for it exceeds my skill at it.10 Reply- 2K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic.

20 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. I prefer reading, I'm not too good at writing sometime I write but very rarely when I do I write hundred of page in a single take but most time I just don't have any inspiration.
29 Reply- +1 y
What have you written? I'm not gonna read 100 pages, but maybe you could show me some samples. 100 pages is crazy! I've never written that much. Or maybe I did in elementary school, I can't remember, but not in one take. I mostly write short stories. It's too time consuming and I also need to be in a specific mood and have inspiration. I have a bunch of stories I started years ago and didn't finish because of writers block. I find I like to just dive into the juicy parts as I don't have the patience for character/plot development. I used to win awards at school, they even turned one of my stories into a play, but now days I guess I'm not as good as a writer as I once was. But I still prefer writing as I have a short attention span for reading, even though I used to love to read as a kid
- +1 y
@KostasKouvalis We write a lot in school in France, it's mandatory to do so, we have a mimimim of usually 4 page, if we do less we get a bad grade instantly.
When I write small stuff I finish them but long stuff I never finish it because I just never can think of a good ending, ending are just the hardest stuff to write because you need to decide just one while there's lots of possibilities and none ever feel like the best.
I'm the reverse I prefer the character plots and development more, it's what interest me the best, even if nothing ever happen and it all stay in the head. Like if I write romance, I just write full on pining without it even getting to a real relationship, just the people pining for the others in their head and that's about it.
That's what interest me the best, when the relationship need to begin I have absolutely no idea how to begin or nothing else cause I can't decide what would be the best ways to go.
I don't write nothing spicy just soft romance pining stuff and that's it.
Wow that's really awesome, in France they don't do this we never win anything except "bon point" and image.
I'm the reverse I can read for hours and hours all days every days but even though I have lots of idea of story I can never get to actually write it down cause it's just ways too long to get to my idea part, cause I need to do all the building and stuff and it need to get interesting and logical can't jump to the important part so I always just end writing before getting to the part of my idea. building and such are just too long and description is the worse. - +1 y
I agree with you on the ending. When I'm reading stuff I love character and plot development, but when I'm writing, I don't have the patience for it. I post and read on Literotica and people are always saying that it's so obvious when the author is male because they go straight to the sex😂
Actually, now that you mentioned it, that happens to me when I try to do character development. Unless I have an outline, I get writer's block and I don't know how to lead up to them actually having sex, and sometimes I just quit right before it gets to the sex. But if I do the reverse, I end up leaving out the character development. I find it easiest to draw inspiration from real life, otherwise I end up with a ton of cool ideas I don't know what to do with. It's weird because I was a really great writer in school. Fiction is easy but research papers are hard, especially when you have to meet a page/word quota.
I have ideas for non-spicy stories too, but I don't know where to publish them so I don't bother
Yes, EXACTLY! You need to show me some of your writing. I didn't know you write. We found ANOTHER thing we have in common ^_^
- +1 y
@KostasKouvalis I didn't know about this cause some women also get in the spicy part directly XD
I don't know if you know this site but if you like reading from time to time you should try archiveofourown or even tumblr, lots of interesting stories there with plot or no plot, everything from angst to fluff or spicy.
Though better avoid wattpad this is the worse. - +1 y
Yeah, there's an Indian girl I talk to and collab with on that site. If you read her stories, you'd think they were written by a man. Women are typically more emotional while men are more physical and visual, but of course there are exceptions.
That's so funny because I was looking at those earlier because I was trying to find that Rafe Cameron story you sent me before😂
I really only post on Literotica. I wrote a a story about a French girl a few weeks ago and got my highest rating ever - +1 y
@KostasKouvalis I don't this is true honesty if you saw the amount of spicy stuff without any plot women write just cause they find a character hot you wouldn't think this anymore, more often than not they don't know anything bout the character and haven't read or watched the show / book / store but just write spicy scene with the character without plot cause they find him hot.
The whole men / women visual / emotional is I think pretty false (for a big percentage).
The amount of spicy scene women write without plot on tumble drive me crazy I don't mind some scene but I want to read for the plot and character development, angst, suspens, thriller, etc... but sometime it's hard to find since a lot only write spicy scene and nothing else.
I have to scroll for a long time sometime to find any fics with plots in it.
I think the acuthor erased (it happen often on those site which suck) because I have been trying to find it last week but couldn't and all her stories were not there either, just two new one shot and that about it. I just go read others one now XD
Before you talked to me about this site I didn't even know about it, I mainly read on tumblr, archiveofourown and quotev and when in desperation of not finding anything I go on wattpad.
You're making me curious XD - +1 y
That's just it, if it's someone they find hot, they don't mind, but in other instances, they want character and plot development apparantly. I've only managed to write a few that women liked. But what surprises me is how many people are turned off by "poor grammar"?
But that's kind of stupid that they don't know anything about the character. Wouldn't it make more sense to just write something about the actual actor?
I get what you mean about the scrolling. I have a difficult time finding material I like, as I'm interested in really specific stuff. That's one of the reasons I like writing my own.
I love reading losing virginity stories, that talk in detail about what the virgin's body and mind (can be female or male), was going through during both to the lead up and then finally losing their virginity. I found one on Literotica that's really hot.
I hate when that happens, them either deleting their stuff or getting banned. I've had that happened with porn channels before and I was so angry, especially since one of them contained one of the "really specific things" I like.
If you find any spicy "non-consent" or "losing virginity" stories, send them my way.
I am? Good ^_^ I'll send it to you in PM, next time you're on. It's not non-consent though.

Do you know any websites that would let me post a story involving murder?

If you could find me a story about a virgin (either man or woman) engaging in non-con, that would be even better ^_^
