So what brought this to mind for me was a YouTube video I watched the other day. Don't remember exactly which video it was. But in the video this guy with a camera approached this group of 6-7 people who seemed to be goth or alt or whatever, and he started going "hey aren't you guys supposed to be all like 'fuck society' and 'fuck the police' and shit like that?"
And then the others responded with something like "well it's a bit more complicated than that. there are a lot of bad police out there, in which case fuck them, but there are a lot of good police who also deserve our support."
Then he said "but the fact that bad police exist and the fact that you're showing ANY police any sort of sympathy makes you complicit."
Then they said "we don't show sympathy towards police who abuse their power. but murderers and rapists NEED to properly be arrested."
Then he said "you all seem like a bunch of posers to me. people like you are usually the first to go up against police. and now you're supporting them!"
Then they said "okay if it makes you happy then now fuck it. fuck the police! again, fuck the police!"
Then, in the same voice the sharks in Finding Nemo said fish are friends not food, he began to go like "no no no police are our friends not our enemies! police are friends, not enemies! every day they risk their life for us, and you're ungrateful?"
Then eventually they ended up leaving and walking away, as he kept shouting "POSERS! POSERS! POOOOOSERS!" towards them.
And it's like... was that guy mentally challenged or something? You could say he was just doing it for the video, but based on his other videos and his replies to comments he seemed like an unhinged person in general.
His example was more extreme, but I've met a lot of people who do similar shit.
They argue towards a certain viewpoint, but then when people start to agree they change their viewpoint yet again just to be contrarian. Meaning they don't truyl really believe in any cause.

Some people are not mindless sheep. I know some people can't think outside their little bubble, but it is what it is. Sucks to be them.
No, but I'm not talking about people who simply have different views than the norm.
I'm talking about like the type of person who has a certain "unpopular" view, and then when you agree with that view they change their view yet again just because they wanna have a different opinion that no one agrees with.
Some people just like to argue and go against whatever the other person is saying. It's very annoying
Very annoying indeed, lol. They state an unpopular viewpoint, trying to force you to agree with them, and then after a while when you finally do agree with them to shut them up, suddenly their view flip-flops again to the opposite of that unpopular viewpoint. They wanna have a viewpoint so unique, quirky, and/or hipster that no one else agrees with.
Reminds me of a few people I have dealt with in my life, haha.

Ah yes, lmfao. So true. Text in general is also difficult to understand since you don't have tone, facial expressions, volume, body language, etc. They're literally just words on a page. When two people read the same book the two people might've taken away a completely different message from that same book since text is what you make of it in your head.
