Do you believe that America is headed for another disaster?

I keep hearing about so many people, like truck 🚛 drivers are not going to have very much work and will be laid off by July.
I can't afford to buy things like I used to because Trump's tariffs are costing so much and in some cases, the shipping fee is more than the item I want to purchase.
Store shelves will remind us of the COVID days because shipments won't be coming to America like we are used to having and without truck drivers the shelves will be empty again. Not today but in a few weeks to come.
I am not fear mongering at all so don't accuse me of that!!
Trump's tariffs are to blame. They backfired on him and now we are going to have to pay for it BIG TIME!
Yeah, it all looked good on paper but in reality it looks like he used the wrong blueprints.

I guess he gambled too hard with the wrong cards. Bluff poker will only go as far as other people believe you have a good hand.

Mind you, we do have a smiliar situation in Europe whenever we order something online and get it imported from the US, Japan or South America. In order to 'protect and encourage' trade within the European Union and amongst the member states, anything we buy outside the EU gets a heavy import tax. Border control withholds your parcel until you pay your fee.

In the end, it's always the small customer who pays the bill.

I think it is for this reason. Trump started a trade war to bring low paying manufacturing jobs back to America. The unemployment rate is already low at 4.2% and there is a massive shortage of blue collar workers in the trades. Those are good paying jobs that nobody wants but half the population is convinced that there will be people eager to work for low wages in a factory. This might go down in history as the dumbest thing ever tried.

I think we avoided a disaster last November. Unless their is a world war or a giant asteroid strike things seem to be going well. The stock market is recovering and the recent decrease in GDP is attributed in the recent decrease in government spending which needed to happen if the country is ever going to have a balanced budget.

Doesn't seem like it as my company seem to allow everyone to work as many hours as you have the strength for lol. I just do five days and rarely 6 but i get tired easily because it requires heavy lifting.

expensive thing won’t be a big thing.

but moving manufacturing to US is useless and a big problem.

Not sure where you get your information but Canada's economy grew in the first quarter while the US economy contacted.
