I am wondering if anybody else believes US is in trouble regardless of who becomes the US President. I genuinely believe this election is a no-win situation because I suspect political conflict will continue to get worse.

There's no need for a revolution in a country that has fair elections, like the US, like it or not. It's not impossible to change the rules to make, say, the presidential election an instant runoff vote or, even more simply, the person with the most votes.

It's just very hard, but coming close to a fascist take-over might convince people to make the change.

The way our laws are written means changes happen very slowly, so steering back to the right course will never happen through fair elections. And people don't have the heart for a revolution. So we'll continue on the path we're on and crumble to shit. No way around it.

Saying we're close to a fascist take-over is an absolute joke and makes me think you're not an honest person though. I'm sure I could stalk your profile and see you lie constantly. The closest we have to fascism is our "progressive" candidates who copy nearly all of the fascist ideology, minus some of the nationalism. And with our government structure, there is absolutely nothing they/she can do to bypass our democracy in any meaningful way. Spend some time outdoors if you think this is a valid concern. But I doubt you really do. I'm guessing you know you were lying and just saw me as a target for your manipulation.

I'll tell you in a few days; America is voting on whether they want to continue to have a democracy. The greatest weakness of the country is that they only have two major parties; there's no third option to go for if you think either is too extreme. The UK had the Liberals/Social Democrats/SDLP/etc. as a third option, although they got seriously played by the Conservatives they formed a coalition with. They were a mechanism for the voters to pull the major parties to the middle and could take over from a party that went totally rogue.
