Can ultra specific individuals be “made” from words alone? Or does it require specific experiences to achieve that specific level of success?

How does a path chosen or a lifestyle get recreated/replicated?

For example, let’s say a fierce athlete claims fame, along with the rewards of all his efforts being paid off.

He motivates and gives tips to a learner of his. (He is their mentor).

Can that student achieve what he has from all his advice and motivation? Or can it only be done by facing the same challenges/hardships he has faced etc. ?

I wonder if the words of an influential and powerful person can recreate the same success in a student of the influencer, or if it is only possible to replicate the steps of greatness, having only or additionally, undergone *the same level of treatment in life,* as the mentor/influencer (had).

- What do you think? Are the words enough? The advice?

Or do they (the student (s)) have to build a similar mindset from similar experiences?

The words and strategy are enough
Only the same set of experiences can breed an individual, similar in nature

I asked this cause I watched chef Gordon Ramsay teach a few apprentices, and some just didn’t seem to have the same level of focus and passion as Gordon has had. I reviewed some of his backstory, and I just feel like that has help craft him to he has become. I just don’t think they can bring that same level of expertise and dedication, cause of the lack of shaping factors/molds.
