What do you get your mom for Mother's Day when she insists she wants ‘nothing’ but will definitely remember if you get nothing?

Mother's Day is around the corner, and once again, Mom says, “Oh honey, I don’t need anything, just your love.”
But we all know… if you actually show up with nothing, she’ll never forget it.
So, what’s your go-to gift when ‘nothing’ clearly isn't an option?
Do you go the sentimental route, the practical gift, or just play it safe with flowers and chocolate?

If she will remember that you brought nothing when she told you to, then I do question her integrity and how truthful and honest she is unless you are totally broke and she simply stated that to avoid that you go out of your way to get her something that she knows will burden your budget.

Bring yourself to her place with some sweets or flowers. Those don't cost an arm and a leg. If you think that she deserves more because of what she has done for you in your childhood, then I would suggest you put your picture in one of those silver hearts that can be opened and where a picture is inserted and that can be hung on a necklace.

I got my parents a hotel room in Reno (their favorite place to go) and tickets for a Neil Diamond tribute band. I actually took them to see him on his 50th Anniversary tour in 2018, after which he announced that he had Parkinson's and would stop touring, so this is the next best thing.

We (my siblings) are also taking her (them) out for a family dinner.

Anyway, get her a card and maybe her favorite dessert or make something (not necessarily food) homemade for her if you don't have a lot of money. A card is minimum.

Just get her flowers. She can't complain that she'll have to put it somewhere because she can throw them out after a week and it's also not nothing. I don't think chocolates are even necessary :)

When I say that for fathers day I actually mean it , she should say what she actually means , it should never be about gifts , it should be simply appreciation , I'd much rather receive a nice card , hand written and written from the heart.
