Is the American government making us all dirt poor (except for the rich people) to pay down that deficit that WE didn't run up in the first place?

Tell me who ran the deficit this high? Honestly!! Was it the American tax payers and if so, how exactly did they run it up?
Was it the greedy Democrats giving billions and perhaps trillions of America's money to other countries? Did these other countries spend the money America gave them on frivolous things, or what exactly did they do with that money? Ukraine's president said he doesn't even know what happened to half of it. Did it just disappear and reappear in Zelinky's bank account?
It seems like our government believes that the money America had was like the Monopoly game money. They were like little undisciplined children spending that money on anything and everything and now WE have to give up our lives that we had before it was decided to take a hatchet 🪓 and make us pay it all down RIGHT NOW or what's going to happen? Anyone know? Should we have to go along with their plan of how to lower the deficit?
Well, now, at this precise period in time they've decided they need to hurry up and get the deficit down and they are doing everything possible to accomplish that - even making middle class working Americans dirt poor and homeless.
Taking Medicaid paid caregivers for disabled people away from them - I mean - hey.. whatever it takes we've got to get that damn deficit down right now or else!! Or else what Mr. President? Tell us please why Americans can't even afford to buy groceries anymore and seniors are sleeping in their cars and on the streets just to get that damn deficit down AND QUICK! Or else!! Or else what because I would like to know!!🪓
Don't Americans have ANY say so about what is happening to our lives? We just have to take it lying down and cannot protest our government to pump the brakes on paying down the deficit and chose the particular people who are alive right now to be the one's that have to pay it down.

I didn't vote for any of these pointless wars or to send aid money to countries that is laundered back into the pockets of our politicians.

Social Security is the biggest ponzi scheme of all time, it will collapse and leave millennials and younger out to dry even though we paid into it our entire working lives.

Doesn't matter what the rhetoric was, just look at the results. Still waiting on the "Lock her up" and "drain the swamp" promises to pass. The swamp draining has been much better this second term.

I think Trump is trying to get it down faster while president because he knows the next president will probably just ignore it and a lot of that debt is from China unfortunately and yeah, groceries are the second highest thing for me and most people to afford other than a mortgage, it’s really gotten out of hand how expensive food is

The country is in trouble. Politicians from both sides have run it into the ground. With 1 trillion dollars a year to pay the interest on the debt it is not sustainable. Until President Trump was elected everyone else just wanted to kick the can down the road.

It sucks that we are in this mess but the government needs to be downsized. Cuts are needed everywhere. Nobody wants to lose a benefit but I understand why this needs to be done.

What I am concerned about is that once Trumps 4 years are up it will be business as usual and we will be in the same mess again.
