Is an acura integra a nice car?

I just purchased a 2025 acura integra the base model. I actually like the exterior design. I know it's supposed to be a nicer version of a honda. I have nothing against Hondas. But, I think the acura has a sleeker exterior. While I like my car, I am still wondering if it was a good or decent choice. My plan is to upgrade in about 9 months to a more luxury version of an Acura or something else.

I must admit I am being a little imagine conscious or vain. My last car was a buick encore which served it's purpose. I wanted to upgrade a little. While I am in my 40s, I felt the buick encore's appearance didn't fit my personality or the look I wanted. Plus it was physically uncomfortable because it was a little too compact for me.

What I appreciate about the acura integra base is that even though it's not as fancy as the fully loaded version or actual luxury cars, it still some nice features. Plus it's pearl black with black leather interior, which I think gives it a decent look.

Does anyone consider Acura integras a decent car in terms of appearance and performance? Is it an upgrade from a buick encore?

The Integra is a solid compact sedan. As you noted, it's a Honda Civic with some styling and content differences to "justify" a price difference of about $4,000.

Are the looks and the added stuff worth it? Only you can answer that question. Personally, I think so. The Integra is much better looking.

Honda has had some quality problems in the last decade. Specifically a recall for air conditioning system failures in the Civic/Integra. But overall, Honda products remain pretty reliable and easy to live with.

However, the Integra can't hide its small economy sedan (Civic) roots. It's not as quiet or roomy as an Accord. The ride is a little harsher than some other sedans in the same price range. Specifically a Nissan Altima SL (luxury version) is priced the same as the Integra base at about $33,000. The Altima is roomier, quieter, and rides better. The SL version also has more content than a base level Integra. They get identical fuel economy with the base engine.

Anything made by Honda and its offshoots will be a good car. High quality, efficient and reliable. So with that out of the way its really up to taste. If you like the Integra buy it. You sure could do worse. Now the black color can be very maintenance intensive to clean and will show stone chips more easily. But damn black does look cool. I drive an old thrashed 2001 Civic. It will not die.

That's a cool design no doubt, but you just burned unnecessary money for buying a new car and in nine months you want to burn even more unnecessary money for upgrading to another new car? Why?

It's a Honda.. So it's a good car most of the time.
