I would be willing to work 9-5 , 5 days a week , prayer on Sunday , and go home to a big family including 4 kids also a beautiful wife that loves me …..

As long as there is good wages that meet the rate of inflation as we used to do until spineless Congress killed it off , also not to mention unstable retirement plans thanks to Ronald Reagan’s replacement of secure predictable pensions towards 401ks.

I know about the history to get us basic fire escapes , push open doors , and sprinkler systems installed which just a reminder was on the dead because of greedy men of the past. Do we really want a repeat also to go back to a time that was worse for American workers? Unionize , strike , and do what you have to do to secure a good workforce that has your back just as you have the back of your employer / employees.

I'm a software developer. It's counterproductive to work long hours. I have worked a long weekend, then slept, returned to the office, and asked "Who wrote this?"

Only if I get paid a lot hourly so I can kill them with overtime. If it's salary, it better be double the salary of a normal Monday to Friday 40-hour work week. A "996" work week is bordering on slavery.

No, I think 40 hours is excessive. Life is short. I worked a 6 day schedule for years a long time ago. I would not go back there again.

No, my father worked more than 80 hours a week and all's it got him was early retirement due to health issues from being overworked.
