What separates you from the crowd?

I only check headlines to see what's in the news on any given day, but I don't believe any of their commentary. I trust salesmen more than I trust corporate news or politicians.

I have my own on-line sources for in-depth, unbiased reports. And I read non-fiction books on history and recent events. Therefore, I've learned things that very few people have ever heard of. And most people have been trained to discount any information as conspiracy theory unless their trusted mainstream outlet of choice (TV, news print, or on-line personality) tells them about it.

I keep my mind open.

I don't care about partisan politics or consensus. Instead, I develop opinions based on what I know so far and what makes sense, but I can modify or change my opinions as more information comes to my attention.

Also, I'm kind of a rebel. I don't always stick to rules, especially when the rules are stupid.
For example:
I drank alcohol and had sex when I was under age. I had an underage girlfriend when I was over 18.
I used to smoke weed, even while driving. I even tried other illicit drugs.
I've sneaked into places that were off limits or onto private property.
I fired off illegal fireworks.
I broke California gun laws.

I once had a college professor who proposed a scenario: If you were driving on straight highway in a flat expanse where you could see forever in every direction and came to a stop sign but could guarantee 100% that there was no traffic, no cops and no danger, would you stop at the stop sign just because it was there?
Given that scenario, I said no but was surprised by how many people said yes.

By the way, I do strictly obey traffic rules except for speed limits because traffic rules do make sense. I only exceed the speed limits in certain areas when it's safe.

I do not laugh is someone is getting hurt by an accident or anything else. I am not mean. I don't like revenge. I want people to respect nature, environment, think before acting. I don't like big cars as sign that I have money (or show). I am not egoistic. I hold myself back and let others go - not always of course, depends. I can do it but it makes no sense if you get in trouble because of that. I try to be as social as possible. I try to help animals because they don't have a voice. Starts with buying not meat or eggs from industry - only from good farm conditions. I don't buy food that is wrapped in too much waste / plastic bags. I use my own cotton bags again and again. I try to safe energy - I only have what I need. E. g. 1 TV instead of 3 ...
