Today's birds are considered non-avian dinosaurs. A few will raise your eyebrows in lineage. A Red Legged Seriema is similar size and build to smaller Dromaeosaurs (Velociraptor family) and has the including the sickle claws.

The Red Legged Seriema's family is the only living descendants of the prehistoric predatory terror birds.

So, Dromaeosaurs>>>Terror Birds>>>Seriemas. Maybe.

There are no descendants of terrestrial Dinosaurs. Crocodilians predate them.
Tuataras actually descend from aquatic pleurosaurs.

Alligators & crocodiles are pretty much dinosaurs. They have been around for millions of years.
