If you had one secret superpower, would you keep it hidden from everyone or reveal it to select people?

For me personally I’d like to do good deeds with something like telekinesis, or invisibility.

but I wouldn’t let anyone know, I think it would be interesting to see how they react but can’t explain how it happened.

It would be best to hide it. I used to be able to pick locks and bypass security systems among some other types of white hat skills, as a teenager my father would send me to break into people's cars when they locked themselves out. I have never told the people that have lived around me for 25 years about about that. They are hardly super powers but because most other people couldn't do that sort of stuff I got blamed for a lot of things I didn't do. Also people hate you for being more talented then them and upon finding out you have a super power as a result you might oneday have someone stuff a lump of kryptonite up your butt because they were either jealous or threatened by it. I'd wouldn't tell anyone I didn't have to but I would and do use it for good and for my own self interests as long it is morally justifiable.

I've thought of this before and sure i'd like to think i could become a superman or batman... but maybe i'd end up being more like a magneto. a morally grey person who thinks they will do the right thing but end up harming people :/

As for my secret superpower it would give me the ability to speak & understand every known language. Over time I’m sure it would be revealed however I wouldn’t reveal it to other people & I would let them think I don’t speak or understand their language.

no, i wouldn't tell them until absolutly necessary because with my power i would be out there killing the ones that deserves it and robbing rich people from their money to take a snip of it myself and give rest to the ones in need like animal shelters, orphanages etc etc.

since everything i do is considered a crime i need no witnesses.

I would probably hide it.. Because I wouldn't want to be some mega celebrity or involved in any government activities as a weapon, pawn or any experiment.. I would also do good deeds secretly... And probably pull some pranks with it too.. Basically like the movie "Chronicle" if you've ever seen it.

Oh and I would keep it secret, a lot of reasons why revealing a superpower wouldn't be a good idea ex. some shady government agency taking you captive and trying to weaponize your superpower

Hidden. You reveal it and those select people won't believe you anyways, and then you lose respect for them because they basically called you a liar and you find THAT disrespectful and begin to resent them.

Depends what it was; Things like super strength aren't a big deal. Anything that's like.. Reading minds, controlling people, invisibility, you don't want others to know.
