When was the last time you or homeowner/landlord shampooed your carpeting?

I last deep cleaned the carpet around 2 years ago, when my ex’s cat pissed all through the house - I shampooed the carpet and scrubbed the hell out of it. Never got the stain or smell out though. I think it seeped through under the carpet, as the carpet is over 30 years old and is thin like ice.

Unfortunately im in a rental so I think I’ll get in trouble for ripping up the carpet, no matter how bad it smells.

I don't have carpet floors, just tiles and marble tiles. I have few smaller carpets in bath and sleeping room, I let them clean all two years by a service who takes and brings them fresh back.

about a year ago, but it didn't look that great afterward. However, I recently bought a robot vacuum, and after a very complete vacuuming, it looks GREAT.
