7 moHuh? Monday is just an arbitrary human construct. So is the concept of weekends. And a "Sabbath day". I've never paid attention to any of it. If shit needs to get done, I'm available. But if I want to take 3 days to go skiing mid week, I will clear my calendar and just go. I've been in a place where I can do that for 10 years in private equity and another 10 years running my own consulting firm. It suits me. I'm not a calendar and clock guy.
This past weekend I was walking around my yard enjoying the fall air and colors while on the phone with a west coast client for 1.5 hours on Saturday. And 1.5 hours again on Sunday. They called, I picked up. They are in crisis. And I consider them friends. I enjoyed the puzzle they presented me with.
3 weeks going 24X7? I've done that. But I've also disappeared for a couple of weeks afterwards. No apologies and no exceptions. That's the deal. You don't wanna work with me? Vaya con Dios y buena suerte amigo.

Depends on what I have to look forward to honestly
Recently I’ve been swamped with work
But it’s also work I find interesting so I don’t mind rolling up my sleeve on Monday
Still nothing beats a well earned vacation10 Reply

Mondays can feel challenging because they mark the shift from rest to routine, often bringing a heavier mental load.
The difficulty varies depending on your schedule, mindset, and how you set up your week.
Planning small wins, prioritizing tasks, and carving out moments for yourself can make the transition smoother and less stressful.10 Reply
7 mo@thegreenyogi not difficult at all when we remind ourselves "if I don't go to work, nothing else is bringing in money to shop, eat, pay bills, save, survive" - followed by stretching and an upbeat smile and hand warming like Miyagi 🤤😁😊🤭
10 Reply3.7K opinions shared on Other topic. My days are not my favorite days. In my profession bad things tend to happen off of the weekends and I am not always on call. But I certainly come back on Monday morning and find out what has happened and feel like just going back to bed. Obviously I don't do that. But I feel I could often.

20 ReplyIts crazy my Monday is my Sunday and my Sunday is my Monday.
My deadline is allways Monday morning, so I have to have it done Sunday evening. Monday is bassically nothing to do and Tuesday is the new start for the next week.10 Reply- 3.8K opinions shared on Other topic.
7 moMy Monday & Tuesday tasks are usually prepared before the prior weekend in order for immediate & easy execution of those tasks.
It's my staff members who are usually the ones scrambling after I give them my to-do lists.
10 Reply 7.2K opinions shared on Other topic. My work week starts on Sunday, so Mondays are just another day for me. Sundays are especially hard because I am usually the only one in the office.

@bunnyboo24 I have the same honest upbeat attitude "you're either a morning/working person, or you are not" is my mindset about work - be it work day, night, or none

@MikeTheBartender wonder how much higher DJ can go up to 50,000 or any Crash between now, Christmas, 2026 - hell, is it feeling like 2019 "the calm before the stock storm" all over again? Shrug

@mysteriousNicholas People bring this up, the market is an all-time high, but so is coffee, so is real estate, you wouldn't go to a restaurant and go hey it's more expensive than it's ever been. We should come back in a few months, right?
As the saying goes manic Monday. Any day can be a Monday depending on when you start your work week. They are always challenge, are things to good or are things going to get better.
