This was suppose to go on others

I have learned when to be a good listener and when I should talk.

Sometimes people just need someone to listen to them without offering unsolicited advice or trying to tell them what they need to do. Just listen without interrupting them. Make good eye contact with them so they get a sense that they have your full attention.

I have learned to ask first if they want to hear my opinion, if they want my advice, and/or if they need my help with a situation, or did they just want me to listen to them.

When or if they have given me permission to do anything, then I am a good talker.

Generally people like listening to me when I am speaking, and especially when I am telling my life's stories. My nurse is only allowed to spend an hour with me and she doesn't want to leave because she loves my stories and advice.

I guess it comes down to time and place and the situation.

[Asker]

So you have it all calculated 🌚

[sage2021]

You do know that your emoji is of the moon at night right?
Nothing is calculated. It's called being polite and not a budinsky!

[Asker]

🙃🙃🙃

Listening. 👂

as you can see… I don’t type a lot here…

if I say anything… it’s usually important… I do say silly things for fun sometimes

[Sunrising]

I would say I'm equally as good or bad at talking and listening.

I would prefer to listen socially, because I need to make the effort to find something to talk about.

But in a long lecture I don't really listen, and I take notes to help me concentrate.

[Xawyx-2]

I'm a much better listener.

[Asker]

That's what's up bro

[Xawyx-2]

Thanks for the MHO

[Bitter_Sweet94]

Listening.

Talking is easy, anyone can fill the silence.

But really hearing someone, catching the things they don’t say out loud, and understanding where they’re coming from… that’s where the real connection happens.

So I listen more than I speak it tells me everything I need to know.

[Asker]

Yea that's actually a smart way to observe, by listening more than you say

[Bitter_Sweet94]

Exactly.

People reveal themselves in the small things.

When you listen first, you understand them without having to ask much.

[Asker]

Yea that's for sure, it's a good way to observe before putting your foot in the water

[Bitter_Sweet94]

Yeah, taking your time before stepping in usually saves you from the wrong situations.

Patience lets you see people for who they really are.

[Asker]

It really does, its like scouting out before running into battle

[Bitter_Sweet94]

Exactly, a little observation upfront saves a lot of trouble later.

[Asker]

Indeed

[douride2]

Although I do talk a lot some days. I can be a very good listener when I have to be.

[Hªnnªh]

I'm a quiet person, I usually listen and barely say anything.

[Asker]

So you are like a shy person

[Hªnnªh]

I wouldn't say I'm fully shy but there Is a huge part of me that is shy. Like when a friend lift me over his head, I would definitely be fully quiet and shy. You get me ya?

[Asker]

Sure i guess, I don't know how you'd get yourself in that situation but alright 😂

[Hªnnªh]

A friend suddenly lift me like that so it's not like I put myself in that situation, it happens without I control it.

[Asker]

That doesn't sound like a friend if they don't respect you and don't have the decency to ask if they can lift you.

[Hªnnªh]

I guess I got used on it that way, so I don't really mind

[Asker]

Fair enough I guess

[Simslover92]

Definitely listening.

[Asker]

That's what's up lol

[Brady]
