I wouldn’t generally agree, but i see the point. If someone is a racist, calling them a racist most likely won’t compel them to change for the better. If someone isn’t a racist, it very quickly becomes apparent that you’re just calling them that in order to marginalize them socially and demean their thoughts and feelings on an issue. Which is kind of a “b*tch” move. Ell oh ell!
I lean more "yes", because "racism" is now just a euphemism for "stuff I don't like." Or they've lost the argument and have nothing else to go on.
In that context it’s misused. Clearly if someone is a racist they can still be called out and shamed.
@BarryLiverstone I get that, but I said what I said because everything is racist now apparently.
Thankfully not everything is. I get what you mean and the term is abused my too many. But there are still racists out there and it’s not moral.
