Do you really feel that there is any difference between this two lines to you or both are same to you? Which one of the sentences more intimate to you?

Alice, thank you. Rule 6 from "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie. "Remember that a person's name is- to him or her- the sweetest and most important sound in any language". The problem for me is that I am a visual learner- I will remember their face, but the name is much harder for me to recall.
