I know somebody who has a house that is big on the outside, but on the inside, the upper floor is hollow in the centre except for a few side hallways and close hallway area bedrooms that line the outskirts of the top floor, which are used for sleeping and home work space, as well as guest rooms for visiting friends.
I believe the ones who designed or built the house could afford a totally sheltered second floor, but they realized having multiple fully saturated floors would mean the residents would have a higher work load cleaning the house, so the second floor is mostly just a decorative device used to accentuate a hallowed out roof area, rather than a dwelling region where there is extra space to go about and hold on to possessions in the home throughout the entirety of the second floor surface area or potential middle second floor surface area.

Hell no to an apartment, but a bit more in between for the home size. I do want multiple bedrooms, and definitely a basement. A second floor might be nice. But what's more important to me is the land. I don't want 1000s of acre's like the first opinion said, but I do want 10s of acres.
I would like a small house on huge property, probably a few thousand acres but doubt ill ever afford that
Smaller house. Definitely not an apartment. Why would I pay monthly for someone else to own my home?
I'm perfectly happy with the mansion I live in.
A big multifloored house has many options! 😊
Smaller one story.
