How unjust are these laws?

Ok, so, like, this morning I came across these 5 horribly sobering and unjustly, unjust LAWS seemed cruelly and maliciously aimed at ruining one of my fave hobbies: Drinking!

Like, wtf? There goes 2 vacation ideas right of the top of my list. I was so planning to go drinking with moose in Fairbanks, Alaska next spring too! And No espresso martinis in Japan? Nope. Forget it. Keep Tokyo. This girl ain't going.

And what is with this heartbreaking law designed to ruin all my vocational dreams? No watching cows while drinking in Scotland? That was my whole damn career choice! Now I'll never be able to get a real job and I'll have to keep working for my parents forever. (At least I don't live in their basement) But, at least we make damn good homemade wine and hard cider which isn't illegal!

So, I'm going to go have some now and give some to the moose too and then I will ask them "How unjust are these laws?"

I'm from England and it became illegal to serve Snakebite (half Lager, half Cider, mixed together in a pint) in pubs.
No problem, they just serve half pint of lager, half pint of cider and give you an empty pint glass. So you mat not have a problem in Japan.
Scottish drink even more than the English so no wonder they have that law.

Personally I prefer illegally burnt 'cognac' from self made wines than that stuff from grocery store that taste acceptable only if it costs above 200 USD.
On the other hand it's just administrative offense when illegal burning wasn't made out of financial interests and untaxed alcohol was sold.

Actually it's illegal to be drunk in charge of any animal in the UK. Technically you could be arrested for being drunk with a goldfish in public.

On the plus side Scottish law allows you to keep any beached whales you find if you can drag them home with 2 oxen

Drunk in charge of a horse was unfair though because the horses knew the way to the pub and back. I do agree drunk and in charge of a bicycle is a truly monstrous crime.

On the upside though drinking laws allow you to urinate behind the rear wheel. So convenient you can relieve yourself before pedaling back from the pub.

Is that riding a bike while drinking or urinating behind a rear wheel whilst drinking? Any decent bike should have a stubby holder and in any case you can steer with one hand whilst taking swigs from the can.

Urinating would be a piece of piss. Point with one hand and swig with other hand. Many men do this.

You may not get why the rear wheel. Back in the day, drays had large solid rear wheels so men were covered up. But the law changes slowly and hasn't caught up with modern car sized tires.

problem is drunk humans are dangerous humans and some people care sufficiently about the other innocent, not drunk animals.

all laws come down to this: do the right thing, and respect others.

There are lots of dumb laws. One law that's still on the books in Ohio... A man carrying a red flag must walk in front of a car, so that the horses are not scared. In Arizona, it's illegal to have a donkey in a bathtub on Sunday.

It's perfectly reasonable to be irritated by strange or antiquated laws that restrict enjoyable activities or pastimes. Although laws are designed to keep people safe, they can occasionally seem excessive or unjust in day-to-day situations. A rule should be respectfully questioned if it actually restricts freedom or is illogical.

The dumbest thing is you can't drink and drive (understandable), but you can't walk home drunk either. I had a friend who was nicked over that crazy law one time.

Well drinking and then getting behind the wheel can kill someone. It’s happened a lot here. Especially with uber driver or lyft apps, there’s really no excuse to drive drunk. If you want to get shitfaced at your place of residence and not drive, that’s your business. But drunk driving isn’t tolerated

It might be fun for 10 years, maybe 20 years but eventually it becomes addictive

Iceland still has strict laws about selling alcohol
