I had just this unfortunate situation this morning because I fell asleep too early last night from having a bad night of sleep the night before. I just laid there trying to fall back asleep for a few hours before it was time to get up anyway. I intermittently looked at my phone a bit, but I realized by probably 2:30 or so it just wasn't happening and turned my alarm off and hopped in the shower.
