Anyone that uses a Nuke would still get fallout from their own Nuke. All that crap gets in stratosphere and comes to US in the form of rain. We would have cancer rates go up and deformed babies , the works.

it really depends on what type of bomb they use. you don't get radiation from splitting atoms. there really is no point to a nuclear bomb other than devastation and years more after. but if they used an isotope that was less nuclear and had a very short half-life then they could still use that nuke and have that space livable probably within a year at soonest?

It’s not really the fallout, which would be pretty isolated to that one area, but the fact that other countries would feel that they could use nukes now and it would just cause a domino effect of other countries using it and we would be all over with anyway

Once you use nukes you've set the level at which other countries can use nukes, they're no longer a last resort but something to be used early on. If America nukes Iran, why shouldn't Russia nuke Ukraine? Even between superpowers the bar has been lowered.

with moden nuklear bombs, the radiation will at most travel two digit numbers in kilometers down wind. that's not a problem at all. so they absolutely can use nukes on iran. you're thinking of so called "dirty bombs" that have additional radioactive material added so it can spread through the explosion or maybe you're thinking of the very first nuklear weapons ever tested. modern nuklear warheads don't cause a lot of radiation contamination. in the past, the first nukes caused extreme radiation hotspots that could radiate a large area. but these days, radiation is not the problem with nukes anymore.

Sorry, maybe tested in Iran. I mean there was other stuff tested in Iraq that the government said worked and it turned out it didn't work. A lot of this equipment that we pay a fortune for is just basically junk.
