Israel wants complete control of the Middle East. US wants banking in Iran. Yet Islam doesn't believe in borrowing and interest on loans. The U. S. reasons for overthrowing Iran have nothing to do with human rights or an Iranian nuclear program. It has to do with the U. I think Iran has few warheads already. Iran just choose hard way to obtain them through filtering of Uranium-235 from uranium ore.
A "science" reactor like many other countries have them to create medical and technical isotopes can breed Pltonium-239 out of Uranium-238 and Uranium-233 out of Thorium-233.
Making a warhead isn't super difficult when a country has enough fission material.
