How smart am I?

Question

Not too long ago someone said to me (Not for the first time) "I know you're actually smart and not as dumb as you pretend to be."
Which just makes me wonder, if I'm pretending to be dumb but I'm not actually convincing anyone that I'm dumb, Am I just too dumb to pretend being dumb? or am I too smart to pretend being dumb which actually makes me smart?

We're the ones reading your questions. And if we do not know how to read between the lines or understand your humor or your depth of your wording well then, of course.
AnytimeSomebody does not understand something point the finger at the other person. But if you not only read the words and feel the words and the scenario that's being played out, there's actually always 2 scenarios. You just have to be able to catch on to the other one. It's like me being a smart a**, if you don't know me, I don't understand my word. s  And i'm labeled as weird which is cool because I'll take that at least I got a label , and i'm sure a few more  So my answer is, you are very, very smart. You are very deep. You are deeper than most. You know , more things than most , because you experience and explore and you like knowledge You have been through a lot, so you understand a lot. And with your wording of your questions, it shows that because you're trying to help people whether you know it or not feel something and try to laugh. Some people don't get that people don't understand that, because it goes over their head  And the people that have been through that type of pain or experience understand what you're saying.
 The depth of it, so I welcome it. Because I also know just one question of yours actually , have three questions it talking to 4 different type of people as I also know that every question that you ask you already have the answer you just want to see how deep other people see how.
Smart are people, and it's not even smart. It's how wise they are So I'm going to say you're as smart as you want to be when you want to be, because depending on who you're talking to, why is there you can match that or go above that? And now that I said that maybe a lot of your questions. For sure, are to open people's minds and think about things in many different ways. You are a teacher in many ways and I thank you , and what was your question

I get the impression that you are really awesome and smart because your writing style is the cleverest on GAG these days. You have the wit of Lewis Carrol. Your command of language indicates that you are obviously quite educated but you play the air head while being thought provoking, whimsical and funny.
To me, that shows more intellect than getting worked up about stuff that is in the news, asking leading questions about them, and making angry comments base on political ideology..

Some people probably think you are an air head, but you don't fool me. I appreciate you.

I often wonder why you only ask questions about yourself? Because if you weren't SO inside of your own head, how would you come off by asking more questions about other subjects besides yourself and your world you live in?
I believe that if you were well rounded and knew about more realistic things that you would be smart. 🤓
But since your questions are always about just yourself, I can't agree that that is being smart.

I've only seen you for a short time on GaG, as you're relatively new, but I've always been impressed with the thoughts you share. You have a unique way of thinking and writing, matching the persona of your username maybe 60% of the time, and showing a high tendency for intellectual curiosity the other 40% of the time.

I say things bluntly and don't give compliments where I don't believe they're deserved, but I think you're one of the more intelligent people on GaG and definitely in the higher percentiles of intelligence in the world.

This may sound strange, but I think you just know what you like in life and don't like drama. That's why you act the way you do. To keep life as simple and drama free as possible. You're just a happy-go-lucky soul, trying to be a little happier each day.

I think I know that dumb people aren’t smart enough to know they are dumb , and observe often that people often think they are smarter than what they actually are. There are also people that are good at pretending they are smart , which is pretty dumb in my opinion.

Either way though , I think your great because you come across as fun , buoyant and happy go lucky, which if intended is actually pretty smart and if not then I like you more 😊

I think you are pretending to be dumb, and convincing some people you are dumb, but you are so convincing that you are dumb, you are probably are really smart, but on the other hand, you could be smart coming across that you are dumb, convincing other people you are very smart, but this could be just conjecture, so your question depends on who's opinion is right.

Me I don't care if you you are smart or dumb, but on GAG's you've overtaken my points total, but does that make you smarter than me, or could I be smarter than you for spending less time on GAG's.

In conclusion I don't think it matters if you are smart or dumb, as long as you are happy being smart or dumb.

I’d say that’s rather difficult to determine without speaking to someone person to person. My first indicator is always the level of their native language (written or verbal). Then what topics they were interested in (e. g. celebrity nonsense vs. ecology protection). The smartest people I know are real nerds in their scientific fields of work. The dumbest people I know are recognizable by a vacant, glassy look in their eyes.

I think you're smart. A sense of humor and being able to take criticism, which you do at times, without having a total mental breakdown, like some people on here, are both signs of intelligence. Being comfortable in your own skin is a sign also.

I think you are so smart you pretend to not know for attention. In that people feel compassion for you at the same time you are feeling compassion for them. I think your pretend to be dumb is to make everyone else feel smart. You are an angel for that. Being "dumb" allows you to touch so many more peoples lives then being smart ever would. You figured that out, weather you know it or not. That was pretty intuitive... smart or not

Only the first is solid logic "too dumb to pretend being dumb" but they just encouraged you. Not meant that you try to pretend. + To measure how much smart, do a real supervised intelligence test but probably you are average which is good.

Have you ever taken any standardized test, like the SAT? How did you score? That's a pretty reliable indication of intelligence. OTOH some quite intelligent people don't test well.
