Years ago, alpacas were the big thing. They said there was big money in selling alpaca wool. They look cute and cuddly. My wife thought she wanted one. But they are not all that friendly and they spit green slime when they are annoyed.

We went to a ranch one day where they were having a shearing.
They would grab one, hold it down and start shearing. Alpacas make a funny humming sound when they are distressed. "Mmmm! Mmmm! Mmmm!"

When they released it back into the herd it looked silly like the one in the photo. The other alpacas looked like they were silently laughing at it. But they didn't think it was so amusing when it was their turn.

In the end, they all looked like scrawny little things with Ugg boots and big Wookie heads on stalks.

Well we were supposed to get a dusting of snow over night. We ended up with about 6 inches. I was out clearing snow most of the morning. Still I look better then that poor llama.
