Do you think people are replaceable?

I don't think they are, replaceable would be an identical substitute for whatever you are replacing that is identical visually and purpose wise, nobody is the same, even if they act the same, the best way to describe it would be that you move forward, you adjust to a life without this person because you'll never truly find a replacement for a specific person, have you ever ran into a soul that's actually replaceable in all aspects?

When my son was in the hospital 🏥 dying, sometimes I wasn't able to go into his room in the ICU because they were doing a procedure on him.

So I would have to go and sit in the waiting room for a while. And as you would guess, I would start talking to the other people. We would talk about our person who was a patient in the ICU.

I would tell them about my son and that he might not make it.

So many people would ask me "Well, do you have other children"? I hated when someone would ask me that question.

If I had 20 children and one of them died, THAT'S THE ONE I would miss and couldn't be replaced by anyone else.

No, people aren't replaceable in my opinion.

I dont think any human being or animal is the same and your bond with each individual will always be different no matter how similar the new person or animal would be to another person or animal you knew. Even twins ans clones are not 100% identical.

Yes. I work in Vet med and I've not seen an identical animal and never meant an identical human. I've seen them collect DNA for what could be the cloning process of a dog.

It reminds me of. how sometimes after a breakup you try to regain some of the little things you miss about the old one. It could be an inside joke that doesn't land the same anymore or movies on Thursdays.

there's a lot of layers to it. When we're kids, we would get told "you're special" and grow up kind of trying to prove that wrong because it sounds too good to be true.

Here's someone who's faster in math class than I am, the dude playing third base on the other team pulls of my asthetic better than I do when I'm on third base. (End of the world right?) but we never think about how that faster kid is pretentious and annoying or how the other 3rd base kid is kind of a dick.

Doesn't exist. Every friend and relative in my life has been unique. Their losses have grieved me. But new people find their ways into your heart for the interpersonal gifts that charge you in ways you've never experienced. It's all good.
