What day is Garbage day for you? What day does your garbage get taken?

Just like my laundry question but for garbage! what day does your garbage get taken?

I don't even have to worry about it. We have 3 containers I can take my garbage bag out whenever I want and the containers get emptied once a week. Then cardboard paper and PET bottles we collect in house and someone takes them out. The only thing I have to take out myself is glass and metal like cans and other stuff. I have that in a bag and then I take it to this specific collection location and put all my stuff away there. It's very nice. There are specific dates and if you live in a smaller house you get this plan where they tell you when the carboard gets taken etc. But here I just got lucky it's easier.

It's garbage when the compost or trash bag is full. I take it to the dumpster and it gets picked up, I don't know which day. I think it's different days for compost, recycle, and trash.

Oh I wish life was so simple in the UK. We've got to remember if it's black bag week or blue bag week, even purple bag week. Falls on a Thursday for me.
