3 people, no pets

Plastic bottle/tubs, paper/cardboard and food tins/soda cans/aluminum foil all get collected on the kerbside
Glass goes to the bottle bank
Clothes get donated to charity or sold to a material processing company
Other stuff generally gets taken to either the local scrapyard or waste transfer depot where most of it is recycled

A very good question.

I live alone, and I fill at most one trash bag a week. I do reuse cardboard boxes, usually by offering them to my neighbors- who are happy to accept them. My recycling is limited to taking unwanted cardboard and plastic drink bottles to the recycling bin.

My recycling is minor, but if everyone did it there would be an impact.

We have like those walmart bags and we use them for trash so we fill 2 bags up a day.  we have divided trash cans too, so one is for glass, others for PET and the other one i think is for paper

Hmmm  1-3 trash bags, really varies. 2 people and 11 pets.  Yes, I recycle everything with a recycle label on it. No, I don’t reuse things.

In a given week, we use maybe two or three bags. It's just me, my wife, and our son.

And yes, we do recycle cardboard, paper, and plastic. Glass too, but there's a specific place we have to take it to. Our service doesn't collect it.

I don't know what a full size trash bag is to you. But I fill up 1-2 large bin liners a week which is 37L. For 2 people and one cat. We recycle plastics 1,2, and 5, recycle cans, glass, paper and card too.
We reuse glass jars.

I can usually make a trash bag last for 2 weeks, so my answer would be that I use ½ trash bag a week. Recyclables get recycled. Food waste goes in the compost.
