Surprisingly, I wouldn't call my dad. He would get emotional depending on the situation so I probably wouldn't even tell him if it wasn't necessary

Yep, definitely my dad. When my ex and I flipped over on the freeway a bunch of years ago, I called him. When there is literally anything wrong with my car I call him first. He knows how to do everything and fix everything and he comes to help with a lot less judgement and 'suggestions' than I get from my mom for how to avoid whatever situation I found myself in.

I called 911 the last time someone hit me from the back and caused my car to be totaled.
then I call hubby right away and told him I am well and all is well and all under control and cops on their way and he doesn’t have to worry.
Same with him. We are there for each other.

It depends. If there was a chance I could die, I’d call my oldest child first, who is my healthcare proxy. Anything else, I would call my husband first.
