Would you rather live in a very big and nice house in a struggling neighborhood or a studio in a great area?

Me personally.. I’d choose the studio in the better area every time. Where you live affects your mindset, opportunities, safety, and the people around you. Living in a struggling neighborhood eventually comes with a price, no matter how nice the house is…

I’d choose the studio , especially now that I already had my experiences with owning a nice home , but unfortunately that nice home ended up costing me a lot of money and brought me down instead of up , so now I am in process of selling my home and I plan on moving somewhere more affordable and smaller now that my kids’ are older , my house served it’s purpose , but I realized I really have no need for it anymore , I want to spend my money on fun things , like traveling and entertainment over being house poor , my home is perfect for a family and it has nice privacy as well , so once it sells I will be happy that it’s off of my plate

Since my dream is to live in the back of a box truck, I'll just admit I wouldn't want to park my box truck in certain kinds of struggling neighborhoods. I also wouldn't want to park somewhere with a bunch of posh dorks or a residential area with Karen HOA's lurking about as they seek to make others as miserable as themselves.

I'll take nature (State parks/BLM land), Wallmart parking lots, and industrial zones over any of that other bullshit.

What is a "struggling neighborhood" ? Place where you need a combat ready glock beneath your pillow?
I think location where you're living is very important factor, much more important than second or third bath and 60sqm kitchen.

After growing up mostly in the USA, I am done with struggling neighbourhoods. I said goodbye to that in 2019.

In practice, I didn't go the struggling neighbourhood route. And I paid the price for it, a quite high one, not just economically speaking.  No regrets 🙂

Studio in a great area like you. As long as I'm single with no children, it really doesn't matter too much but I would rather live in a safe area if I had to live alone. Luckily I live in a nice area with a roommate that I adore.

Always choose the nice area. Your safety matters, plus your car insurance will be a lot cheaper. It'll also be easier to get a job because employers won't look down on you.

In a house with 10 acres or more with lots of water trees animals good stereo some toys the only people around are people that come see you are the closest neighbors 10 miles away
