In general, that is. Whether it's dating, relationships, friendships, or the opposite sex, or even things like customer service or entertainment, are your expectations and hopes realistic?

I have high expectations of myself which I'm sure comes from having self-respect. That only makes sense.

A lot of eople have changed for the worse in the last decade and even more in recent years.

Unfortunately, there are some people who are living with themselves just fine even though they lack having a moral conscience.

So, depending on what type of person they have chosen to be, my expectations of other people has had to change as people have changed. Not all people of course.

I guess my expectations of people are as low as they act. Because I can't have high or realistic expectations of people if they are pond scum and do fraud on me, lie to me, steal from me - because all of that has happened to me in the last year and a half. So my lack of trust for people is high and I don't feel like I can trust anyone anymore.

when it comes to dating, relationships, friends... the opposite sex, I never really had expectations... I don't need "expectations" because I've mostly had greatness in my life when it comes to that

don't need to "expect" when you experience greatness instead

customer service or entertainment though... that's very difference, that's something I always approach with readiness to be disappointed... lmao

and then I just really appreciate when it isn't disappointing

Very realistic!

As a citizen of planet Earth for half a century i've long been a student of the human condition. I have no illusions about the human race and the gender war.

I learned some time ago the best thing a guy can do for himself is know his boundaries. Enforce those boundaries. And do not expect other people to live by them. Never love someone, or care about someone so much you cannot live without them.
