I drive a gasoline truck as for why well I like older vehicles I also enjoy being able to haul heavy objects when needed or pull trailers and such. Which most can't do and also drive on a lot of dirt, mud and sand roads I ain't gonna drop 30,000+ dollars when I can drive a truck I paid 1,500 dollars for which even if I had to repair everything in the truck it'd still be cheaper then buying an new or used electric vehicle.

And I don't like electric vehicles they aren't reliable and I drive to many places to often including to other towns for my job and if you live anywhere with harsh and cold winters that battery will drain extremely quickly or just not start at all. And if those batteries for any reason catch on fire the smoke is extremely toxic and can kill you.

Plus I find the whole it's better for the environment argument for them stupid considering just how much devastating damage happens to the environment just to mine the metals not counting processing the ore or what said ore contains. And all the equipment used to mine the ores runs on fossil fuels and all the factories used to build the parts for the car run on fossil fuel.

@strateguy632 Even more of a problem for electric cars because their batteries aren't as good as withstanding cold temperature as other car batteries are.

Weve a hybrid Ford Kuga. We had an EV, I bought it as my accountant advised me too and for the federal government incentives. They way the accountant phrased it was i could either buy one for $30,000 or pay that in tax. We actually still have it, trying to sell it but no takers. Was ok for a runabout but I would be confident taking outside 40 miles where we live.
