Why do people expect a universe full of randomness to be fair?

Wellllll... here's a quote from Science Daily that I like:

"Quantum physics suggests that while many processes appear random, they may not be completely devoid of underlying factors. However, certain quantum events, like radioactive decay, are fundamentally unpredictable, indicating that true randomness does exist in some contexts."

Our brains are wired for order, but probability IS order. It's a mathematical measurement for the likeliness of an specific event to occur, while randomness is about the unpredictability of patterns of events to occur. So essentially, you can use probability to analyze randomness and try to understand its frequency, so to speak.

So to reply to your question, I don't think fairness has anything to do with one's immediate universe, and expecting it is a low probability, although there "could" be a random occurrence in which it occurs! LOL

Because they don't grasp the idea that we live in chaos. And chaos is not fair. I see it even in nature. It's a fight for survival all the time and the strongest survive. It's a natural selection not to mention we're all different for many different reasons so it's never been about fairness it's more about knowing what you want in life and persevering until you get what you want and stop waisting time complaining.

Because the less fortunate feel they have been disadvantaged through no fault of their own, and they are right. Material success, success in finding a partner, happiness are all largely due to luck. Some of it is genetics, some of is the place we were born and the parents who raised us.

It's not exactly unfair because there is no one deciding to give more to some and less to others, but it can certainly feel that way.

I don't know if I agree with the premise. I think people just want other people to treat them fairly. We're a fleck of dust to the universe.
