I am neither an extreme empiricist nor a strict positivist, but I lean considerably closer to the empiricist end, with important qualifications.
The first one. Radical scepticism. Neuroscience informs us that what we experience as reality is a model constructed in our own brain in response to the input from our five senses.
So, if you are radically skeptical, so why aren't skeptical of?
