It was our turn to host the solar eclipse this year, and as usual, we did it better than anyone else. OK, it was only about 95%, but we still did it awesomely because that's what we do.
Unfortunately, with my phone, I couldn't capture the ring no matter what I tried. Perhaps I'll try again tomorrow.
Anywaysie, here's three attempts but which one is best. (None look anything like an eclipse)
I really like that first one with the vertical beams. That is really cool. We haven't had one that I remember since I could understand it that was total. We get partials from time to time, but they don't have much of an effect.
Definitely the vertical beam of light. But where is Stonehenge in this pic? Isn't there some special druid stuff at total eclipses at Stonehenge? A virgin sacrifice and a wickerman?
Oh never mind - I've found a vertical beam of light hitting Stonehenge. And a quite nice looking virgin on the slaughter stone. Plus some more virgins jumping through flames like in wickerman.
Just haven't found the wicker man himself at Stonehenge.
The vertical shaft. But as far as I understand, you will only see the ring of light in areas where the moon covers the sun for 100 per cent. You could have used a filter over the lens, by cutting out one of the parts of the cardboard eclipse glasses that were for sale everywhere.
Although indeed none of those pictures shows the eclipse, I prefer the one with the vertical light shaft, because it gives something mysterious to the landscape. Here enclosed a IR picture I made of the eclipse.
The diagonal picture is the nicest picture, but if you hadn't told us that they are pictures of a solar eclipse, I would have guessed they are all just different pictures of a normal sun.

I don't see any eclipsing.

i forgot about the eclipse lol.. hopefully you get to see a total solar eclipse if you haven't already like I did from the one back in 2024
