Number 3 is in fact the lie.

1. Truth. I don’t think you stole the vehicle or it was on a technicality. Like you learned the dude you got a ride from stole it or took it without permission, or you accidentally stole a car by taking it without permission.

2. Lie. It is specific sounding to make it sound like it is plausible, I don’t think so. I think this is a red herring moment.

3. Truth. I know a lot of people who bump into those with same names all the time. Highly plausible.

Number 2 I believe is fake based on my assessment, whether if I’m wrong or right I’d like to say Good Game and thanks for the fun lol.

I see you upvoted me and two other comments guessing the same number. If you sort opinions by time, i reached the question before it had any comments. And i left no explanation because i used intuition. Just the number "3" flashed in my mind. No comments. Just that number before i even read the descriptions. But intuition is almost like libido, pretty spontaneous, sometimes missing, and sometimes unwanted.

Number 3. Having exactly the same name is very common but how do you "accidentally" meet them? The wording doesn't sound right. Plus we generally don't tell people our full names. The fact this is the least interesting and most plausible makes me think it's a deliberate red herring.

I'd say 3. But it's a risky guess not knowing your actual first and last name. You could be named Jane Smith which are two very common names haha
