How long do you think you can survive in the Amazon rainforest without food or supplies?

Oh boy. I doubt very long. I wouldn't know which critters were the dangerous ones, how to get food and fresh water. Shelter would be an issue and not knowing where to go.

I'm an outdoorsy girl snd do like the woods around here, but it is much more tame here. I might be able to for a bit where I live. Not in the Amazon.

I know how to look for fruits and weed to eat. I also know how to chatch some animals. Not easy but doable. Like 1-2 days… the most 7 -10 days? Hopefully by then I get reacused. But doubted… so dead by then hahahaa.

I guess that really depends on where exactly in the Amazon I end up...

40 to 60% of that region is pretty much gone and there's no rainforest anymore, so... if I end up close to those areas... I can just walk to the crops and the pastures, and the companies and tell them "hey... you got some water?" and that's all... I can make it back home with just a couple of calls

but... if I happen to end up in the middle of the thickness that the jungles can be with NO SUPPLIES... then I won't make it that long, lmao

many of these dense jungles, from Mexico, Central America and all the way to the Amazon... they are used as training grounds for the best of the best special forces in the world... and even when these highly prepared and full geared experts try to survive in the true thickness of the jungle, they do run into all kinds of trouble and it is an actual surviving exercise

so, what chance would I have there unprepared and with no supplies of any kind, lol

I've had chances to go into less dense forests than that, and that alone was an struggle because there's just too much vegetation, too much humidity and way too much heat

It's actually about 15-20% that has been cleared or completely deforested. I don't know where you got that there's no rainforest anymore. The Amazon Rainforest currently takes up 5.5 to 6.7 million km²

a completely barren land is just soil...

but in the other areas, the native vegetation is gone, decimated or has been replace with palm oils and other things that are green to... but it is NOT the rainforest of the Amazon

and the forest is not just the trees either... it's the vegetation, the richness of the soil, the bodies of water, the landscape, the animals... and the climate

all of that is gone or replaced with something else

you say that the Amazon rain forest is "roughly the same size as the USA" and that is just wrong... and you could just look it up... the Amazon WAS about 6million squared... the USA is about 10 million squared... 6 and 10 are NOWHERE NEAR to be almost the same, so... not only "get info" understand it in detail as well

you also talk about "20% of the Amazon gone COMPLETELY"

and yes, that's closer to the reality, but it is not the full story of it... the figure of 20% does refer to the COMPLETE LOSS, and it is considered a total loss, that could possibly take generations to recover, if it even recovers

and on top of that 20% loss... there's another, almost 40% of the Amazon that has been degraded

DEGRADED is the key word here, because degraded means, seriously affected in many ways, and it also means the forest has lost "their status" as a rainforest because it cannot longer CREATE it's own rainfall

simply put... a rainforest without its own rain... is no longer a rain forest

some trees might be still there... but they are not "living" they are surviving... and at this rate, they won't be there much longer anymore

"wild mosquitoes" are crazy lmfao... just a few bites, and your face starts to swell, and no long after that... you can get open wounds, so that's infection, then even more swelling, or blisters

and that's just the annoying part, before the more serious part... which is when you can go into allergic reactions, fevers and whatever tropical disease you could catch in those lands

I might survive one month or 2. If I make it past 2 months, I might survive longer than that because I’ve Tarzan out of the hell of that forest.
Actually, I am being hopeful. I don’t even know the vegetation there. I can start a fire using flint. I can use a coconut shell to boil water. I can sharpen a stick or tree-twigs to fish, or set up traps. I can create a mid shelter, But the bugs would have killed me with whatever virus they are carrying. Ooh GOD, anyway, I can’t imagine this.
