Caring.

The power of money isn't that it let's you buy stuff, it's that it removes the need to be concerned about things. You no longer care about bills, you don't worry what will happen if your car is written off. You cease to care about other people's opinions of you or to hold your tongue lest you offend.

They say money reveals the true you as it strips away the facade you surround yourself with in order to be accepted. So perhaps the first thing we all lose is ourselves.
