My inheritance was like $500,000 and I hired someone to invest. Game plan is max out year over year roth 401k and other similar like government accounts that pay out 10% after taxs over time. Compared to all in stock market average of 6%.

So Work full time but 65% pay is going into roth 401k and 5% to traditional with a company match. So 30% is paycheck and then get paid slightly better with an allowance from inheritance that's in the market.

I would use 60-65% on improving my boat, which I live on. Bank the rest and depending how much it came to would determine how I would invest it.
