Well the internet came out of nowhere, who would have thought of that in 1980 even? They had a military version up and running and no one thought to bring it to everyday people, not even email.

And people thought robots were going to take over (if you watch old TV and movies they called them (robits”), but no one saw AI coming or being able to do what it does.
