I want to say “We’ve all been there!”, but i know that’s not true. Some people have the patience of saints. Others are so pragmatic that the thought of losing their temper with an inanimate object is pure folly.
I’ve been there. A lot. My primary character flaw for most of my life was a fierce hair-triggered temper and near psychotic rage. I’ve destroyed a lot of things. I didn’t even slow down to think about what it would cost me. I think repeatedly replacing Playstation controllers was my earliest turning point. Those got pretty pricey after a while.
Before that happened, i came completely unhinged over my POS car. It was always breaking down and nickel and diming me so i couldn’t save up for a new one. I had a radiator leak and it would overheat frequently. One day i was already at the end of my rope and it overheated just as i was getting home. I walked inside my apartment and grabbed a baseball bat and went back outside to have my “printer scene” with my Buick. I couldn’t completely destroy it because i still couldn’t afford to replace it. I also couldn’t afford to render it undrivable or pay fix-it tickets. So i vented my rage without smashing any windows or operating lights. I also left quite an impression on some of my neighbors. Ell oh ell!
What is the angriest you’ve ever been with an inanimate object?

I do t get upset over these things… I started driving around 24… my brother gave me his old ford torus … as a knew driver the engine failed in the middle of a busy highway… well… no not angry just an inconvenient…
my brother did teach me to check the oil, get the oil changed by certain timeframe… just the basic maintenance… so… I got a Honda CRV… it didn’t fail me for 200k miles and over 15 yrs… we donated to a young couple who couldn’t afford a car… hubby taught them to do the basic maintenance to keep the car running well and longer.
I am trying to teach my daughter the importance of being prepared to prevent future problems like life…
I hope you are able to get another decent car soon.
too bad I didn’t know I could have donate the CRV to you.
Heh, thats a daily thing for me. I've been at war with those assholes for some time now.
