Too many people need me on the outside of the G-walls right now, lmao, so I’ve chilled out. But historically, I’ve been pretty reckless with them. One time in my 20s, I blared “Fuck The Police” by NWA while I was already pulled over; the cop couldn’t believe it, lmfao. And that was tame shit.
I was in a huge riot, got rubber bullets shot at me, they were throwing tear gas. All over a party being broken up, haha….
https://www.youtube.com/embed/RqwRVD7Ww_0I guess the statutes of limitations are up since I didn’t murder anyone, so i can say i definitely committed MANY felonies that night, lmfao. The only one I really regret is arson (just a tree, not anyone’s house; and it wasn’t my idea, I just helped😅); that was really stupid and possibly dangerous to innocent people. But those police showed up in riot gear when there was no riot; so we gave ‘em the riot they came looking for🤷♂️ Let that be a lesson: when people are just chillin’, don’t show up with helmets and shields and billy clubs; the people might have just what you wanted.
I sold weed when it was illegal for many, many years, and dealt in large quantities, so that was certainly testing my luck.
And I’m just generally mouthy to cops who approach me, because I resent being policed and monitored, conceptually.
In 2003 the Boston Red Sox lost a heartbreaking Game 7 to our archrival the NY Yankees to miss a chance to play for the World Series, which we hadn’t won since 1918 at the time. My roommate and I decided to have a party the following night to ease the pain. The town had a bylaw of “no kegs without a town approved permit”, deliberately effectively illegalizing kegs for college students. The cops would watch cars from liquor store parking lots, discreetly follow them home, and raid the party later.
In our case, a BIKE COP followed us the short distance home, and rolled up on us just a few feet from our door, like “Hey, fellas…. you got a permit for that?”, all smug, knowing damn well we wouldn’t have one. Long story short, a second cop with an actual cruiser with a trunk had to show up to confiscate the keg, and we got a $200 citation. And the cops were making all kinds of smartass remarks that I’ll spare detailing for the sake of time. But they were pissing me off.
But at one point, the bike cop is filling out the citation, and he says to the other cop, “hey, what’s the citation number for keg violations again?” The other cop starts busting HIS balls, gets on his radio, and goes “uhhhh, dispatch…. Officer 87 needs a little **reminder** on the code number for keg without a permit….”, and the bike cop is looking at him like “you motherfucker…. don’t embarrass me in front of the perps😤”😂😂😂
Anyway, that came and went, now fast forward a year later and I’m coming home to my new apartment from the liquor store, just with a six-pack. I see two bike cops, actually didn’t have weed on me for a change, so I said fuck it, and kind of dangled the beer behind me. Sure enough, I hear a bike rolling up behind me, and a voice say “Hey, bud…you got ID for that?” I just nonchalantly turned my head to him and said “Yup.”, and continued walking.
I hear the brakes and then the kickstand go down, lmfao. He goes, “Are you gonna show it to me?”, and I was like “I’m not sure I have to…” He says “Well, YOU DO.” So I let out a big sigh, pulled out my ID, and said “Fine. I can’t stand you motherfuckers.” He’s looking it over and says “You can’t stand us, motherfuckers, huh? So how old are you, Steven?” I tell him 25, and he says “ 25 and you’re still in college? They must be waiting for you down at NASA.” I said “Dude…. you’re A COP.”, and laughed.
He radios in my info, the woman is reading back my license number, and I’m reading it out loud with her, showing I know it by heart. At this moment, I see his badge…. it’s #87. I remembered the number because of the other cop punking him out, lmao.
I go “OHHHHH YEEEAAAHHHHH, I knew I recognized you! Officer 87! You don’t remember me? You took a keg from me last year in Pufton Village, the day after the Sox lost that ALCS Game 7!” The dispatch is now verifying my info as I knew they would, I’m legal to have the beer by four years. Officer 87 is just shrugging at me asking if he remembered me from the year before, dismissively. I hit him with, “Dang…. they STILL ain’t give you a car yet?”
Dude just looked pissed and shoves the ID back at me, sarcastically says “thanks for your cooperation”, and pedaled his ass off, lmao.
No reason to do that, but I just like to fuck with them, lmfao
They always respected me, and I respected them.
There is no need to complicate things or resort to violence; in our country, clashes with the police are inevitable, but it’s all about mutual respect. 👍🏻
Thank you so much for MHO 🙏🏻
