Not great, lmao.
I had a very bad one in second grade. I got in a fight at the bus stop one morning. I forget what it was exactly about, but some older kid was bragging about being the best at something, and I simply said something innocent to the effect of “well look out, because I’m getting older, and one day I’m going to be better than you!”, and the kid inexplicably turned bright red and punched me right in the nose.
I tackled him and started pounding on him (all while crying and bleeding all over the place😂😂😂), and just my luck, a cop was driving by at the moment. I just got yanked off the other kid by the back of my jacket and thrown in the back of the cruiser. The cop drove me around the city for what seemed like forever, yelling at me that I can’t go around beating people up, and saying he was taking me to jail and that I was never going to see my friends or family again. Then he asked if I had pets, and I said “yes”, and he told me I’d never see them again either. I was of course hysterical, and felt kidnapped. I guess this guy was trying to teach me a lesson but I was a fucking CHILD. All it taught me was to distrust authority, and that police are not your friends and are not there to help us. Then he dropped me off at my school, right to the principal, and I got yelled at some more. But boy, oh, boy…my mom called the next day after she heard about it and tore him seven new assholes, lmfao. You DO NOT fuck with my mom’s baby boy😂😂😂 I wish I knew who the cop was, she would’ve gone after him too.
Many times growing up, I got singled out by cops…but not how you’d think. My neighborhood growing up was predominantly Black and Caribbean. So I was “the white kid” in the group, a lot of the time. There were just all kinds of instances where there would be this interaction with a cop, and the cop would seem to lighten up because I was there. One time, everyone got patted down, EXCEPT me, and the cop told me to “get out of here and go home.” Just sent me off.
And we had a huge brawl after school at my high school, all white kids, and I was watching. The State Police came with a paddy wagon and everything, lmao. Three kids came out of the building we were behind, unaware of everything, right as things were being broken up. Two were Black, one was White. A cop runs up to them and starts demanding ID. The White kid says “Officer, we literally JUST came outside…” The cop says “Shut up and get the fuck out of here. YOU TWO [the two Black dudes], let me see your IDs!”
Those are just the racially-charged incidents. I have all kinds of other stupid bullshit, but I have to get on about my day, lmao.
But yeah, as a general rule, I don’t think super highly of police. I know they aren’t all bad, but they all have the power to be, and way too many of them abuse it. And now I have personal relationships with some, off-duty, who I play hockey with. Cool enough guys, but they drink more beers and drive home than anyone I can think of. So that’s kinda fucked up.
I’ve found them to be very unprofessional on the job, and very flawed and hypocritical off-duty. It’s actually alarming hearing them talk like any other idiot would, and knowing they’re going to be wearing a badge and carrying a gun and handcuffs the next day at work.
I know a bit what you mean. Cops see me as a nice guy and immediately lose their interest. :-)
I could have gotten in a lot of trouble, especially when I was younger. I once drove an uninsured car with a broken exhaust and parked in a dodgy harbor area. The cops followed me for a traffic stop, but when they saw me getting out, they just looked at each other and drove away. :-D :-D
@DryGermanGuy Sounds about right, haha. Like positive profiling. Been pulled over with Black dudes in the car with me too, and it’s like heightened intensity for a second, but feels like they let us all slide because I was driving.
I'm granted Alchemical Judge and the Drugs are mine with that floating chunk officer Plumb so cops whoever made you is a being made of a word and this my solar system so you been hunting down whoever symboled goin inside me zip-tie dicks or get em put on you morphing into me doing bad things to girls and transvestites blinding them cutting out tongues ears cuz off using lies smelling bad paralyze them or tie them up abuse them kill them or make selves dechard selves if shine they left for dead or gangbanged date raped passed around gobbled up crapped out girls not satisfied will snap and being immuned to date rape of Godzilla king Kong barely phases them by now on it 30 years by now
I had a crush on one but he is way older. I know he liked me though. Our family is friends with the police in our town but it's getting too much in people's business sometimes. It's just how it is in a small town. It's like that Jason Aldean song, only nothing wrong with riding in somebody's car that looks different than you or lives on the other side of the tracks. Police is like don't try that here but nothing wrong with a boy liking a girl that looks different than him and taking her for a drive. Not supposed to be their business and then they're stopping us and pulling me out of the car and saying their going to tell my parents.
I dated FBI and he told me that he had to see horrible black teenage boy gun shot crime scenes. He got shot on his neck and his heart was so strong shooting out blood across the room. and horrible things that black criminals told him. He raped and killed women and telling him that orgasm is God’s given gift. I didn’t know what to say to him. His job was tough. At that time I thought cops are HOT! But I don’t know anything people complain about. I just respect their job and live my life.
Cops are hot? Explains how women are screwed ip

It's a necessary evil and unfortunately every part of government is subject to corruption including law enforcement. The FBI, CIA, Border Patrol and all the national level law enforcement agencies are out of control now and they need a radical overhaul. The good news is that we are finally going to have a sane president in a few days who gets it. They have a lot of power, so while they are to be respected for their skills, they also need to be carefully monitored and controlled by THE PEOPLE.
Fairly sparse, not too much interaction with law enforcement - but mainly positive. I attribute my limited interaction with the police to white privilege, & have gotten away with much because I outwardly present as a law-abiding, above board, clean record, upstanding citizen — when a lot of the time that wasn’t the case.
Whenever the police have talked to me, they weren’t very patient with me. They didn’t give a fuck that I’m on the autistic spectrum and they didn’t use words that I understood. I’m kinda getting sick of our police officers being assholes and picking on blacks, foreigners, and people with mental disorders.
@Titanic1912, I didn't know you were either 👀
My experience has been fine. The only times I had a "negative" experience were when I was on the wrong side of the law. But those experiences were my fault, and because I didn't fight back or resist, I have never had a problem. However, I have been in some situations where if I resisted or ran, I would have put my safety (and the police officers' safety) in danger. What kind of idiot does that and then complains when things don't go their way?
I worked for a company that sold uniforms and police equipment. i literally knew hundreds of cops. I think 99% of them were hardworking people that wanted to serve their communities.
They know my family pretty well , with all the craziness that occurs lol
My experience with this has always been me being on the different side but they were doing their job so there's nothing personal
50/50 I've seen and known some shitty cops in my day. The ones who get off on power are the worst.
I've also seen and known some wonderful cops who truly care.
Fare I don’t have much interaction. When I was working at a movie theater we had security guards on the weekend.
They liked the Christmas cookies we gave them. Also avoid walking in front of our crazy neighbor's house.
I was stopped by police like 12 days ago. The woman that stopped me was cool even though I disagree with her on saying I went on red.
They take but do not give. Well... hit and miss. 5% by 95%
Not bad in general, never get in trouble I guess
With two exceptions it has been mostly positive.
Always positive. Mainly because I follow the law and I don't make trouble or a fuss.
I work in prisons 26 years I go up to law enforcement shake their hand abd say
You catch them we keep them and boy do they wine
Law enforcement is usually no good dirty motherfuckers, so not very damn good.
Never had any issues with them whatsoever.
Good and bad
Useless
Mostly positive.
