Most people don't realize their words are a double edged sword.
You think you only cut others, but you cut yourself deeper.
Every word is a mirror.
It shows what lives in your heart and mind.
It shows if you are a blessing or a curse.
Look at today's world..
People say, why think so deep? As long as my ego is fed, I said what I wanted. I live how I want, I treat others however I want. I don't care.
People must listen to me. People must understand me. My mouth, my life, my rules.
So they use it to hurt, to demean, to curse, to lie, to speak filth as if it is a badge of honor.
They think loud is power.
They think harsh is honesty.
They are proud of a mouth full of hate.
That is a curse..
Everything is me, me, me as if the world revolves around them and others just borrow space on this earth.
They never ask, what good can I give? How can my mouth build people?
They only ask, what can I get?
What should others do for me?
How can others serve me?
But have you listened to yourself?
What comes out of your mouth comes from inside you. If your source is dirty, what comes out will be cruel and worthless.
You cannot hide it.
Your words betray you.
Your mouth tells the truth you hide.
Shouldn't our words be a blessing?
Build not break? Heal not wound? Speak truth and value, not curses, hatred, lies and deceit?
So pause, are you spending your life being a curse chasing nothing? Feeding an ego never full? or making your life a blessing, meaningful for yourself and others?
Use your mouth to be a blessing, speak true and valuable.
Use your hands and feet to be a blessing, help not oppress.
Use your eyes to be a blessing, see what is worthy and good.
Use your heart and mind to hear what God wants for your life.
In the end, your life will speak.
Your words will reveal the real you, even when you try so hard to pretend.
So check your mouth. Check your heart. Check your life now.
