Do you believe your words have power?

I was told both Christianity and Judaism believe that so I started researching standardized prayers to say during the day

To some extent, yes. Even profound power is there, but it isn't absolute.

Lord יהוה ("YHVH") created all by words. Even names are given great importance throughout Scripture. (If you look into the meanings of many Biblical-characters' names from the cover-to-cover, you'll notice all sorts of trends others miss just be reducing them to mere meaningless, foreign sounds.) Like any language's vocabulary reveals the observations & mindsets of the native-speakers, the Biblical-languages' vocabularies present can reveal insights beyond the general scope of Bible translations.

And in everyday life, well-chosen words can have great power, while misspoken words can result in massive ruination. Individuals' personal vocabularies also reveal how they see the world in their eyes & though their experiences.

But at the same time, the meaning of symbols (words included) are in the eye/ear of the beholder, hence the necessity for mutual-understanding, shared definitions, and common contexts.

As for the wordings of repeated prayers emphasized in Catholics/Orthodox/Messianics (like organic, free-flow prayers emphasized by Protestants), they are also powerful… so long as used properly. If over-used, done as routine, and/or said meaninglessly, then they are probably meaningless to Him as well. But done sincerely, thoughtfully, and whole-heartedly, they can be powerful.

And money mon, ey, the symbol of spiritual enlightenment makes you chase and worship money as if it's your god. Because today's prophets are all about profit, and in this atmosphere you're at-most-fear.

Using positive words can uplift someone. Care counselors and therapists do it all the time.
